2007 activities
Modding competition
In this already traditional competition
the changes and improvements made by users on their computers will be evaluated.
On this occasion, not as in the previous one, the competition will be
separated into two branches: aesthetics and technics. Anyway both will stand
several points in common as it follows.
Participants will have to take
active part in evaluating computers, although the system will be slightly
different. Selection procedure will be as follows:
- Every participant will have to sign in through the intranet once they
have got their acreditation, for the competition branch they wish to enter.
- Then, they will have to fill in the file_id and send it to eneko@euskal.org
with at least 5 photos (front, rear, both sides and overview). The maximun
photo number admited will be 10.
- The jury will select 10 mods for each branch among the presented ones.
The same mod can take part in both categories.
- Each of the selected people will be handed a form where they can evaluate
the works presented for competition. This form will have 30 points divided
in 5 groups: material, tools, box, aesthetics, technics.
- Before going through the mods, every user must choose and point out to
the jury which of those 30 points they want to asign a special value to,
depending on the aspects they think are better solved in their own work.
They will be able to choose up to 6, which can’t be part of the same
group.
- Every user will go through all the mods and the author will explain in
a maximun 10 minutes the changes he/ she has done.
- Every user will fill in the corresponding column giving points from 0
to 5, where the former is the minimun value.
The total account, and thus, the
winners choice will be made according to this rules:
- Points obtained from every participant and jury will be added, doubling
those indicated by him/herself and the ones concerning the category they
are in for. If both turn out to be in the same point, it will be given a
triple value.
- The average of points obtained from participants will be calculated.
- The average of points obtained from jury will be calculated.
- The final score will be given making the necessary adjustment like this:
40 jury / 60% participants.
