Mesa de debate en la que conversaremos sobre software propietario y software libre en términos de ciberseguridad. ¿Quién ofrece mayores garantías de seguridad? ¿Quién asume la responsabilidad? ¿Cómo podemos proteger el software? ¿ Cómo se puede certificar si un software es seguro? Analizaremos los paradigmas más comunes en el ámbito de la seguridad informática y debatiremos sobre éstas y otras cuestiones.

Iratxe Martin es ingeniera técnica de telecomunicaciones por la Universidad del País Vasco y grado en ingeniería en sistemas de telecomunicación por la Universidad de Mondragón. Inició su trayectoria profesional en el 2004 en el grupo Dominion. A partir del 2011 desarrolló su carrera profesional en Ambar Telecomunicaciones, donde se dedicó en exclusiva a prestar sus servicios para la Sociedad Informática del Gobierno Vasco, inicialmente como consultora tecnológica, posteriormente como responsable tecnológica y en su etapa final como responsable del servicio de soporte infraestructuras. Finalmente, en el 2017 se incorporó a SPRI para formar parte del Basque Cyberserity Centre, como responsable de infraestructura TIC.

Asier Ibarreche es Ingeniero en Informática. En sus 15 años de experiencia profesional ha desarrollado su carrera participando como consultor en distintos proyectos, liderando el ámbito del testing y el aseguramiento de la calidad del software, principalmente en los sectores de telecomunicaciones, seguros y administración pública, utilizando para ello tanto herramientas open source como propietarias. Actualmente es responsable del área de Consultoría en Globe Testing, empresa especialista en la calidad y las pruebas de software, tanto en el área de Performance, como Automatización y funcional manual, así como la seguridad y la monitorización de aplicaciones, infraestructuras y experiencia de usuario. Certificado en ITIL, ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager, Dynatrace y la suite LoadRunner de Microfocus. Seguidor del movimiento Maker.

Manex Garaio Mendizabal (Gasteiz, 1992), graduado en Informática y máster en Diseño de UX y desarrollo de aplicaciones móviles, es el responsable técnico de la Fundación PuntuEUS, entidad responsable de la gestión y administración del dominio de Internet .EUS. Se encarga de la gestión técnica del dominio .EUS, procesos de registro y estrategias de seguridad del TLD.

Diego es Ingeniero Técnico en Telecomunicaciones y experto en contramedidas electrónicas. Amante de la tecnología y en especial de todo lo relacionado con la ciberseguridad, trabaja en JakinCode desde 2014 auditando todo tipo de comunicaciones inalámbricas: móviles, radio, SDR...

These days I spend more time with the 1985Alternative group, programming games for old consoles such as Megadrive or Game Boy, although I continue to restore at a more leisurely pace. I have been working for almost two years with a Sega Rally, which is still short by just a wee little bit...

Phobos and Deimos: From gaming to education

The presentation will focus on the process of creating Phobos and Deimos and will premiere the educational version of the game launched on 6 July. Joseba Enjuto es Ingeniero de Telecomunicaciones y Master en Derecho Tecnológico. Su trayectoria profesional se inició en T-Systems, incorporándose a Nextel a finales de 2003. A partir de entonces ha desarrollado su carrera profesional en el área de consultoría de dicha compañía, donde ha dirigido multitud de proyectos en el ámbito de la seguridad de la información y la gestión de servicios TI. Con el paso de los años ha compatibilizado su puesto de consultor con el de Responsable de Seguridad y posteriormente con el de responsable de la línea de negocio de Control Corporativo y Cumplimiento Legal, hasta que en 2016 fue nombrado Director de Consultoría. Desde principios de 2015 es también el Director del Comité Regional de Euskadi de itSMF. Desde ambas posiciones lleva a cabo una intensa actividad pública en torno a la promoción de las mejores prácticas empresariales en materia de ciberseguridad y gestión de servicios TI. 

Enrique Morey es director de proyectos y servicios en el ámbito de las tecnologías de la información (TI), con 20 años de experiencia definiendo estrategias para la implementación de sistemas de información y seguridad, y desarrollando proyectos tecnológicos de soporte al negocio en el sector bancario, gobierno y TI.

(In)Security on Wi-Fi Networks

Connectivity over wireless technologies such as WiFi has enabled us to free ourselves from the discomfort of cables and has spelled out a qualitative leap in internet use in both the personal and professional spheres.

However, the downside to that comfort is a greater risk in the security area, due to the successive appearances of vulnerabilities affecting the different protocols used: WEP, WPA and, just a few weeks back (October 2017), WPA2 as well, apparently due to certain errors identified in the protocol core that have given rise to what is known as ‘KRACK vulnerability'.
